Silver We lay together knowing, pointing north, south, east and west The future’s where we’re going and our present is undressed And naked into morning still with starlight on our brow To throw it back come eventide, together make the plough Silver, in the silver light To swim between the stars that shift in the dynamo of night Exchange between us lovers’ gifts, like guesses out of sight And falling down around us we catch the shooting stars That scattering make morning dew, remind us who we are Silver, in the silver light And far beyond the world that wakes to the beckoning of the drum Grows faint and in the silence makes us one together come Between us, nothing can resist and nothing come what may Nothing but the air we breathe ‘ere the breaking of our day Silver, in the silver light

As My Sun Continues To Set Sha sha sha…shadows lengthen, Future days are less, The pale light trips up the horizon As my sun continues to set, my sun continues to set Still part of the debate, I care about our children’s future But as the green ray lights my sky My heart is full and I can’t forget These fragments that will stay until the end Going back in time. Starting now A picture of us… (Family, the band) The difference that music made… (Back in time) the school bully, me and Julie laughing anyway (Further back) new town no friends, new town no friends, new town no friends Plastic snake skin boots and a feather cut Monday evenings High Chaparral A Zephyr in the driveway, mirrors like angel’s wings, like angel’s wings Carry me away Standing on a chair in church, please god, I so so so so so so Want a bike A post card from my mum written in my grandpa’s hand My grandma scooping me up taking me to hospital - on the bus My baby brothers through the glass, fast asleep, sh sh sh sh Shattered memories, Future days are less, The pale light trips up the horizon As my sun continues to set As my sun continues to set…ending back at the beginning I came down on Christmas morning And it was there!

There's only one road under only one sky ... There's only one road under only one sky I know that I'll follow 'til the day that I fly When a kind evolution has granted me wings And a choice of the earth or the sky where to sing To forget all the troubles I'm leaving behind On my feet or in flight I'll still watch the sun shine And wonder at rain on my feather or skin And look where I'm going and where i've been With my feet on the ground I can take to the air With my head in the clouds you must know that I care 'Cause of you there's this song flying around in my head Whether man, whether bird ...

Bodie So long my love I’m going to Bodie Across the plains where the Washoe once rode Today it’s been and gone, only cobwebs hanging on I’ll be taking the lonesome road I know that I’ve done wrong, let me walk into the sun Earth to earth, let me roam I know that I’ve done wrong, but I can live with what I’ve done Dust to dust, and I’m home Goodbye my friend I’m going to Bodie Through this godforsaken windswept land Four years long, the gold and silver is gone The deepest mines are full of sand I know that I’ve done wrong, let me walk into the sun Earth to earth, let me roam I know that I’ve done wrong, but I can live with what I’ve done Dust to dust, and I’m home So long my love I’m going to Bodie Where the dance hall ghosts sashay alone The card house closed down, no saloon left in town Only dust on the Booker Flat home There’s only dust on the Booker Flat home Only dust on the Booker Flat home I know that I’ve done wrong, let me walk into the sun Earth to earth, let me roam I know that I’ve done wrong, but I can live with what I’ve done Dust to dust, and I’m home Goodbye God I’m going to Bodie I won’t be good, and I won’t pray for my wife Don’t trust me on the road, I’ll steal your water and your load… I'll be gone, goodbye God, and this good life Don’t trust me on the road, I’ll steal your water and your load… And your gun, goodbye God, goodbye this life

Loudhailer Electric Co. are Lou Duffy-Howard vocals & bass, Richard Duffy-Howard acoustic guitars, Jeff Parsons lead guitars. Nexus features Lou, Richard, Jeff with Dexter Duffy-Howard guesting on violin. Recorded by Lou, Jeff recorded his guitar parts at his home. We mixed and mastered the songs between us, passing them to and fro until they were ready. Our usual line-up includes live drums so these songs will be different again in our live set and subsequent recordings. Cover artwork from our friend James Harry Ward’s road trip along the Worlds End Highway, South Australia.

NEXUS is the third collection of songs by Loudhailer Electric Co., original psychedelic sounds featuring members of seminal cult bands Red Guitars, Dead Fingers Talk and The Planet Wilson.

Nexus is preceded by studio albums Cursus and Morpheus:

Universal Soundscape Album of the Year: “Cursus is a wonderful album featuring nine original tracks of psychedelic sounds underpinned with a myriad of references to folk, classic rock and other genres. The music is highly atmospheric, immersive and hypnotic with the ability to transport the listener to another time and place.” Across The Universal Soundscape

“C’mon, we’re gonna take you on a trip (the opening line of Night Heron) fits the whole album on two levels. Lyrically, the trip is like an open top bus ride around their locality with tour guide Lou giving you the lowdown. Musically, it’s more of a psychedelic trip with folky influences and some stunning playing.” Davey Hammond, Sounds Magazine

“…a magic album. What really draws out the juice is driving through the forest at night with the windows down – wind blowing my hair everywhere – playing it LOUD. I am sure the BIG lizards and bandicoots, snakes and owls think I’m extra-terrestrial as I whizz by. It is a very very rich experience…” Jungle Jim Ward, Byron Bay, New South Wales.
